Decisions of Israeli leadership aimed at limiting admission of Ukrainians surprising – Yermak

The new rules for entry of Ukrainians into Israel are surprising, Andriy Yermak, head of the President's Office, said.

"We are grateful to Israel for the efforts it is making to achieve peace in Ukraine. However, the recent decisions of the Israeli leadership aimed at limiting the admission of Ukrainians, to put it mildly, are surprising. We consider the suspension of the visa-free regime and the introduction of the system of electronic permits of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for entry of Ukrainian citizens into Israel an unfriendly step that needs immediate correction," Yermak wrote on Facebook on Tuesday.

He noted that Kyiv would "toughly and promptly respond to any steps that harm the interests of Ukraine and Ukrainians."

"Let me remind all our partners: your peoples have long and clearly shown and said what you need to do. See and hear your voters. They have made their choice. They support Ukraine. They are with us. And you? We will win. We will win, no matter what. Together with the peoples of the world. And if necessary, contrary to the wishes and decisions of foreign officials," Yermak summed up.

Earlier, Israel introduced new entry rules for citizens of Ukraine. Instead of the usual visa-free regime, the country has introduced an alternative procedure for authorizing a trip with permission from the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
