Ukraine records 11,680 new COVID-19 cases per day, 14,019 people recovered – Stepanov

As of Tuesday morning, some 11,680 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) disease were recorded in Ukraine, some 14,019 people recovered, some 457 patients died, Health Minister of Ukraine Maksym Stepanov said.

"Some 11,680 new cases of coronavirus disease were recorded in Ukraine as of April 13, 2021. In particular, 501 children and 366 medical workers fell ill. Over the past day, 2,334 people were hospitalized; some 457 people died; some 14,019 people recovered," Stepanov said on his Facebook page on Tuesday morning.

A day earlier, on April 12, the minister reported 7,856 new cases of COVID-19 infection; on April 11, some 12,112 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded; on April 10, some 17,463 new cases were reported.

The number of infected people since the beginning of the pandemic on Tuesday morning was 1.873 million people, some 37,758 patients died and 1.430 million people recovered.

Over the past day, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Kyiv (1,503), Kharkiv (904), Lviv (838), Kyiv (818) and Odesa (795) regions.

On April 12, 2021, some 10,135 people were vaccinated in Ukraine, some 388,401 people were vaccinated form the beginning of the vaccination campaign.
