Since Sunday night police recording carousel voting in local elections – National Police chief

Chief of the National Police Ihor Klymenko has said that since the night preceding the day of voting in local elections in Ukraine, the police have been recording the facts of illegal mass transportation of people on buses for voting.

"Starting from midnight we have been detaining buses that carry people to the regions, the so-called carousel voting. We have such cases in Dnipropetrovsk region, in Kyiv," Klymenko said on Sunday at a briefing in Kyiv.

"At the moment, two buses from Luhansk region, which were stopped in Kyiv, have been detained. People also came to "vote," he said.

The chief of the National Police said that in Odesa region the fact of bringing citizens to vote was also recorded.

"The organizer, a citizen of the Russian Federation, is detained," Klymenko said.

First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Serhiy Yarovy said that 383 allegations of violations during the voting day have already been registered, two administrative protocols recorded and six criminal proceedings opened.
