British Ambassador to Ukraine emphasizes importance of bringing to justice those responsible for killing Handziuk
The perpetrators of the assault that led to the death of former acting administrator of the executive committee of Kherson City Council and advisor to the Kherson mayor Kateryna Handziuk should be held accountable, British ambassador to Ukraine Judith Gough has said.
"Terribly saddened to hear that Kateryna Handziuk has died. She battled her horrific injuries with courage and dignity. Important that those responsible for this dreadful attack are held to account," she wrote on Twitter on Monday morning.
As it is known, Hahn will visit Ukraine on November 9 with an official visit. An informed source told Kyiv-based Interfax-Ukraine news agency earlier that the purpose of the visit would be to discuss the reform agenda, as well as the progress achieved in the framework of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union.
Information about the death of the activist appeared earlier on Sunday on Facebook's community page, titled "Who ordered Katia Handziuk?" Later this information was confirmed by Ukraine's National Police and President Petro Poroshenko.
