Regions Party gets 80 of 100 seats on Crimean parliament
According to the results of the October 31 elections to local government, the Party of Regions has won 80 out of the 100 seats in the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
According to the official data published on the Web site of the Crimean election commission on Saturday, the Party of Regions won 32 seats for deputies elected in single-mandate constituencies and 48 out of the 50 seats for deputies elected on party lists.
In addition, the Communist Party of Ukraine and the Crimean branch of the Popular Rukh of Ukraine received five seats each for deputies elected on party lists, three seats went to the Soyuz Party. Representatives of the latter received another two seats by winning the elections in single-mandate constituencies of Crimea.
The Russian Unity Party received three seats for deputies elected on party lists. The rest two seats on the Crimean parliament went to the Strong Ukraine Party.
