Chechen volunteer Adam Osmayev tried to give first aid to Amina Okuyeva, but she was shot through the head.

"She was shot through the head. I drove as far as I could, because the attackers also got into the engine, and the car stopped. I tried to provide first aid [to Amina Okuyeva], but she was shot through the head ...," Osmayev commented the murder of his wife to LB.ua on Monday evening.

Amina and Adam were returning to Kyiv from other region before the shooting attack. Osmayev was at the wheel.

He considers the shooting attack as an assassination attempt on both of them.

Osmayev also suggested that the murder was committed by the same people who committed an attempt on the Radical Party member Ihor Mosiychuk. "There are some Russian groups operating here," Osmayev said.

As earlier reported, Amina Okuyeva, a volunteer soldier who fought Russian-backed forces in eastern Ukraine, was killed and her husband, Adam Osmayev, was wounded. Their car came under fire at a railway crossing near the village of Hlevakha in Kyiv region late on October 30.

The National Police of Ukraine confirmed the information about the death of an anti-terrorist operation (ATO) volunteer Okuyeva, and also reported on the introduction of the amber alert "Sirena" in Kyiv and neighboring regions in connection with what happened.
