ATO HQ reports two Ukrainian soldiers injured in ATO zone over past day

Russia's hybrid military forces have attacked Ukrainian army positions in Donbas 27 times in the past 24 hours, with two Ukrainian soldiers reported as wounded in action, the press service of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) headquarters has reported.

The intensity of attacks on Ukrainian positions in the ATO area by Russian-occupation groups did not diminish at the end of the day. [...] Almost all the fire provocations were met by ATO forces with dense fire to defeat the enemy," the ATO staff said on Facebook on Friday morning.

Like several days in a row, the enemy was most active near the Avdiyivka industrial zone. From 18:00 until midnight, the militants shelled the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces five times, using mortars, grenade launchers and small arms. In addition, the Ukrainian fortified positions near the village of Novoselivka Druha came under enemy fire twice. And at about 21:00 Kyiv time, the invaders once again started firing small arms on civilian houses in the village of Zaitseve.

In the Luhansk sector, the enemy opened fire near the villages of Krymske, Stanytsia Luhanska and Novo-Oleksandrivka. One Ukrainian soldier was injured as a result of grenade launcher shelling of the Ukrainian fortified positions near the village of Troyitske.

It was rather quiet in the Mariupol sector at the end of the day. The Russian-backed militants only used an 82mm mortar near the village of Shyrokyne.
