Ukrainians are becoming increasingly more discontented with the work of the national government bodies and institutions; in particular, 74.5% of them disapprove of President Petro Poroshenko's performance to a greater or lesser degree, as is seen from a public opinion survey conducted by the Sofia center of social studies.

As many as 47.6% of those polled categorically disapprove of Poroshenko's performance, 26.9% rather disapprove of it, 2.4% fully approve of it, and 17.1% rather approve of it, with 6% of those undecided, Sofia reported in presenting its findings in Kyiv on Tuesday.

Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman's performance is categorically disapproved of by 44.4% of those polled, another 26.6% rather disapprove of it, 2.9% fully approve of it, and 19% rather approve of it, with 7.1% of those undecided.

Verkhovna Rada Chairman Andriy Parubiy's performance is categorically disapproved of by 47.1% of the respondents, another 23.8% rather disapprove of it, 1.9% fully approve of it, and 15% rather approve of it, with 12.2% of those undecided.

Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko's work is viewed negatively on the whole by 70.6% of the respondents.

The survey also found that 78.3% of the respondents would support National Bank Chairperson Valeriya Gontareva's dismissal.

Nearly half of those polled - 42.7% - assess the development of the situation in the country negatively, while only 1.9% believe the country is moving in the right direction.

The survey of 2,017 respondents older than 18 was conducted in all regions of Ukraine, including in the parts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions controlled by Kyiv, on November 1 to 13, 2016. The margin of error is within 2.2%.
