Defense lawyer of Ukrainian pilot and MP Nadia Savchenko Mark Feygin has said that her mother Maria Savchenko has not been allowed to see her daughter on her birthday.

"I've arrived in Rostov, going to the jail in Novocherkassk. I've just learnt that Savchenko's mother was not allowed to see her daughter's on her birthday..." Feygin wrote on Twitter on Wednesday morning.

"Once again, 78-year-old Maria Ivanivna [Savchenko] will not greet her daughter Nadia on her 35th birthday..." he tweeted.

Savchenko was born in Kyiv on May 11, 1981.
