Nemtsov colleagues present report on conflict in Ukraine in Moscow

The RPR-PARNAS party on Tuesday in Moscow presented a report using materials provided by late politician Boris Nemtsov, which alleges the involvement of Russian troops in the military action in Donbas and casualties among them. Kremlin officials said they have not read the report yet.

The report, which was presented in the office of RPR-PARNAS, says citizens representing the interests of Russian troops killed in Donbas had contacted Nemtsov in early February 2015. The people asked for assistance in getting the Russian Defense Ministry to make payments to their families.

The authors of the report allege that at least 220 Russian military have been killed since the beginning of the military action in southeastern Ukraine. According to the authors of the report, the most Russian troops were killed in the fighting near Ilovaysk and Debaltseve.

The relatives did not receive any compensation, but the families of the killed troops declined to make public statements, the document says.

Russian presidential press officer Dmitry Peskov, for his part, told reporters on Tuesday officials in the Kremlin have not read the report yet.

The Russian president and the Defense Ministry have said more than once that there are no Russian troops in the conflict zone in Donbas.
