Ukraine angry as Zimbabwe minister visits Crimea
Ukraine on Monday lashed out at Zimbabwe for a visit by a Zimbabwean minister to Crimea.
"Ukraine qualifies this move as representing disregard on the part of Zimbabwe for current Ukrainian legislation, international law, the UN Charter, and the 'Territorial Integrity of Ukraine' resolution. It may have negative effects on further Ukrainian-Zimbabwean relations," Ukraine's Foreign Ministry said in a statement in reference to a visit to the peninsula by Environment, Water and Climate Minister Saviour Kasukuwere.
"We call upon the Republic of Zimbabwe to respect the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine and comply with international law," it said.
