Poroshenko Bloc to get 132 seats in parliament - CEC
According to preliminary figures, the Bloc of Petro Poroshenko will get the largest number of seats in the Verkhovna Rada of the eighth convocation – 132 seats, Central Election Commission (CEC) Chairman Mykhailo Okhendovsky has said.
He said at a briefing in Kyiv on Saturday that the People's Front could get 82 seats, Samopomich Union - 33, the Opposition Bloc – 29, the Radical Party – 22, and Batkivschyna - 19.
Okhendovsky noted that 96 people would enter the Verkhovna Rada as independent MPs.
Svoboda All-Ukrainian Union will be represented in parliament by six deputies who won the elections at single-member districts.
Okhendovsky said that one candidate each from Strong Ukraine, Zastup and Right Sector had won the elections at single-member districts.
