Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has invited France to take part in the investigation of the circumstances of the crash of the Boeing-777 in Donetsk region.

The press service of the Ukrainian president reported on Sunday that he made the invitation during a telephone conversation with French president Francois Hollande.

Poroshenko said that representatives of investigative bodies of the countries the citizens of which died in the crash are arriving in Ukraine.

He claimed that militants are obstructing investigative actions, for instance, they have taken away the flight recorders, the press service says.

He also "urged France to recognize the so-called Luhansk and Donetsk People's Republics as terrorist organizations," the report says.

The Boeing-777 of Malaysia Airlines on a flight from Amsterdam to Kuala-Lumpur crashed in east Ukraine on July 17. A total of 298 people died.
