Some leave Kyiv's central square as rally continues

Part of the demonstrators in support of Ukraine's European integration in central Kyiv have left the scene, mostly those who stood on the side streets unable to enter the overly crowded Independence Square, an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent reported.

The audience was addressed by opposition leaders, public figures, clergy and popular performers. The crowd joined popular singers Sviatoslav Vakarchuk and Ruslana Lyzhychko in singing the national anthem, and was then addressed by ex-head of the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church Liubomyr Huzar.

Many are chanting: "Ukraine is Europe!". Some chanted: "Klitschko will Bring Order to Ukraine!" when the audience was being addressed by UDAR party leader Vitaliy Klitschko.

Most of the demonstrators remain at the central square, listening to politicians' and public figures' speeches.
