The next round of negotiations in the 5+2 format on settling the Transdniestrian conflict will be held in Kyiv on November 25-26, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has said.

"This will be the fifth round of talks this year, and the last round under Ukraine's chairmanship," Foreign Ministry spokesman Yevhen Perebyinis said at a briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday.

He noted that OSCE Chair's Special Representative for Conflicts, Ambassador Andriy Deschytsia, would chair the meeting.

"During the meeting the sides will continue discussing the agenda that was agreed in April last year, which includes three packages of issues: social-economic, general and legal and humanitarian, as well as a package of all-inclusive settlement, including institutional political and security issues," he said.

He said that it is also planned to discuss cooperation between law enforcement agencies in the field of education, as well as general trends in the Transdniestrian settlement process and steps to promote stability in the region.

Perebyinis noted that ahead of this meeting Deschytsia would visit Moldova and Transdniestria on November 19-20. During his visit, he will meet with political representatives of the two sides, as well as other officials from Chisinau and Tiraspol.
