FEMEN activists tried to attack Davos forum with smoke candles

1 min read

Members of FEMEN movement staged a protest against the discrimination of women in the world today in Davos during the annual World Economic Forum earlier this week.

A press release of the movement circulated on Saturday says that "on behalf of all women of the planet they sent an SOS signal to the plotters in Davos."

"Breaking through as close as possible to the main pavilion of the World Economic Forum in Davos the sextremists activated red signal smoke candles," the report says. The information is supported by photos.

"FEMEN women's movement acts against the false rhetoric of "the masters of the world" who defined the place of women in the global economy a long time ago - the place of free labor, animated means of production of exorbitant profits, speechless obedient beings and sex slaves," the posting says.

The movement demands that oligarchs and politicians stop "imitating concern about the fates of women in public" and calls for resolute steps towards the actual redistribution of power, capital and incomes between men and women.
