Yuschenko leaves for Poltava region to mark Gogol's 200th birthday
Ukrainian President Viktor Yuschenko has left on a working visit to Poltava region to mark the 200th birthday of the famous writer Nikolai Gogol.
While in the village of Hoholevo, the head of state will visit the Nikolai Gogol museum, which has recently been renovated.
Then the president will go to Myrhorod, where he will lay flowers to the monument to Gogol and see the alley of sculptures of the writer's characters.
In Myrhorod, Yuschenko will take part in the festivities marking the 200th birthday of Gogol.
