Another five children return to Ukraine from Russia-occupied territory
Another five Ukrainian children have returned from Russian-occupied territory as part of the Bring Kids Back UA initiative, advisor to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Daria Zarivna has said.
"As part of the President's Bring Kids Back UA initiative and thanks to the work of our partners Save Ukraine, another five Ukrainian children have returned to Ukraine from Russian occupation," she said on the Telegram on Tuesday.
Among them, according to Zarivna's information, a brother and sister, 6 and 10, who did not go to school or kindergarten for three years. Because of their pro-Ukrainian stance, their parents did not send their children to Russian institutions saturated with propaganda.
Nastia, 10, lived in a village that has been isolated from the outside world since the beginning of the war. The Russians did not allow any humanitarian aid, even food, medicine and clothes, to be brought in.
Minors Ihor, 15, and Denys, 17, were forced by the Russians to undergo military training and given summonses to serve in the Russian army. For the children, returning to the Ukrainian-controlled territory became a matter of life and death.
Today all these children are already in Ukraine, Zarivna said.
