MP, leader of the European Solidarity party reacted to the statement of the head of the parliamentary group Platform for Life and Peace in the Verkhovna Rada, ex-co–chairman of the Opposition Platform for Life party banned in 2022, Yuriy Boiko, calling for a draft law on the deprivation of mandates of deputies from banned political parties, the European Solidarity said on its website on Tuesday.

"Of course, the topic of Boiko is extremely important ... If we decide today, without putting bill 8089 on the agenda to ban the activities of the ‘fifth column’ in the hall of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, it will all be ineffective. If you do not issue resolution 7694, which will deprive them of their mandates, because they do not represent either the Ukrainian state or the Ukrainian people and they have nothing to do in this hall, this will be a missed opportunity," Poroshenko said while speaking from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada.

He also appealed to law enforcement agencies to give an appropriate assessment of the activities of pro-Russian politicians and bring them to justice. "I am sure that the work for Putin should be evaluated and they should be held accountable," the politician said.

Poroshenko also stressed that the situation at the front "has never been so difficult" and called for urgent funds to be allocated to brigades for the purchase of reconnaissance day and night drones. "They are shouting in Pokrovsk and Kupyansk directions, because the army does not have reconnaissance drones day and night. A thousand drones had to be delivered. The 100 billion in the account of those who distribute funds testify to the inefficiency and corruption of the functioning of the government of the mono-majority. I emphasize: return the money to the brigades," the deputy urged.

During the parliamentary session, the European Solidarity faction also called on MPs to immediately adopt bills that deprive representatives of pro–Russian groups from the banned Opposition Platform - For Life party of their mandates.

"We’ve heard performances from this podium - about the Russian show ‘get up, the country is huge.’ Unfortunately, the situation has not changed even after the start of a full-scale invasion in 2022. Yes, they are somewhat humiliated. Yes, in 2022, they finally got an injunction against this pro-Russian party. But the situation in Parliament has not changed. The legislative initiatives of the deputies, which were supposed to save us from the presence of the Opposition Platform - For Life here, such as Bill 8089, resolution 7694, have not been considered. In addition, now this pro-Russian party has two parliamentary groups in parliament, which gives them the opportunity to influence the agenda," stated MP Volodymyr Viatrovych.

According to him, the most shameful corruption bills in the Verkhovna Rada are being passed precisely with the support of deputies elected from the Opposition Platform - For Life, while there are no extremely important bills on the agenda aimed at the defense of Ukraine.

"Despite the critical situation, we are once again hearing the Russian agenda in the political and information field. One lively rooster woke up, who reminded us that there is a Ukrainian language in school. A brisk rooster who reminded whom the Ukrainian church is harming. This has become possible precisely because they have the opportunity to use this parliamentary rostrum. We must make sure that they are not in parliament. Their place is behind bars ... I am sure that representatives of the pro-Russian party of Ukraine should all be behind bars as those who brought the war closer, made Ukraine weaker. Which continue to make Ukraine weaker. We must unite around this. We must prevent Russia from having its representation in the Ukrainian parliament," Viatrovych concluded.

As reported, Yuriy Boiko on the TikTok social network announced the growing support for his political force at the expense of people who allegedly suffer from certain "radicals" in Ukraine, as well as an alleged ban on speaking their native language.

Head of the NSDC's Center for Countering Disinformation, Andriy Kovalenko, noted that the words about "radicals" and "language prohibitions" that came from Boiko's mouth "are usually spread by Russians about violence against people, without mentioning Russia." Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk said that it is impossible to talk about violence against people without remembering Vladimir Putin, who was guilty of Russia's aggression against Ukraine and everything that followed. Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, said that some politicians in Ukraine were spreading Russian narratives in the midst of a full-scale war with the Russian Federation, without specifying the names of these politicians.

On Tuesday, December 17, Boiko came for questioning to the Security Service of Ukraine in connection with the published statement.

Boiko was the co–chairman of the Opposition Platform for Life party banned in 2022.
