Shmyhal expects to launch joint production of mine clearance vehicles with Slovakia localized in Ukraine
Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal expects to launch joint production of mine-clearing vehicles with Slovakia, with localization in Ukraine.
"Cooperation in security and defense issues. There is positive dynamics here. A Ukrainian company has recently signed an agreement with a European partner, whose production facilities are located in Slovakia, to increase the production of 155-caliber shells. We expect new defense contracts at the enterprise level. We are also counting on launching joint production of engineering equipment with localization in Ukraine," Shmyhal told journalists following the second intergovernmental consultations with Slovakia on Monday.
According to the Prime Minister, in particular, this concerns the Bozena mine-clearing vehicles.
Among other things, Shmyhal thanked Slovakia for its willingness to provide mine-clearing equipment, which is already available.
