Zelenskyy, regional governors meet to address energy, security issues, cooperation with U.S. states

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with the heads of the regional military administrations of Ukraine and listened to each of them reporting on the operational situation, as well as instructed them to establish cooperation at the regional level with representatives of the U.S. states.
"A meeting with the heads of regional administrations. The key subjects are the operational situation in each region, energy, fortifications, security," the head of state said on the Telegram channel on Monday.
He also emphasized the necessity and importance of the meeting of the regional heads and the government officials to solve the problems of the communities as soon as possible. These problems are related to security, energy, the heating season and the educational process.
Zelenskyy also said that special focus was on the importance of developing cooperation with the U.S. states.
"Together we can cooperate in the field of energy, education, medicine, rehabilitation, shelters," he said.
The presidential press service said the President instructed the participants of the meeting to establish cooperation at the regional level with representatives of the US states. He also discussed this issue with the U.S. governors during his visit to the United States.
"We agreed on the possibility of establishing direct contacts between the Heads of Regional Administrations and communities not only through the central authorities. They are ready to help. And they have a great desire to work at the level of regional structures. So, I would like you to take up this project and start preparing it. I think we can gather our American colleagues this fall," Zelenskyy said.
