Co-owner of Nova Poshta estimates its value of over EUR 1 bln

Capitalization of Nova Poshta Group of Companies, the leader in the express delivery market in Ukraine, has exceeded EUR 1 billion, says its co-owner Viacheslav Klymov.

"I think the company is now worth over $1 billion, more than a billion dollars or euros," he said during Business Breakfast with Volodymyr Fedorin on Wednesday.

Klymov clarified that it is difficult to give an accurate estimate due to the lack of estimates of multipliers for Ukrainian companies during the war, but the dynamics of the group's EBITDA allows him to make such statements.

"Now the multiplier is an abstraction. We are not thinking about capitalization now, but we are sure that everything is going OK. When any multipliers appear for Ukrainian companies, and they appear after our victory, then it will become clear for sure, but we are confident in ourselves in this sense," the co-owner of Nova Poshta emphasized.

According to him, before the war, when evaluating such logistics companies in a conservative scenario, multiples of about 10 were used.

"There are our colleagues from the Polish company InPost, by the way, they have the number one network in terms of the number of parcel terminals, and we have number two in Europe. If I'm not mistaken, InPost went public at the end of 2020 with a valuation of about $8.5 billion," Klymov noted.

According to Standard-Rating, Nova Poshta's revenue in the first quarter of 2023 increased by 2.1 times, or by 113.2%, to UAH 8.08 billion, EBITDA - by almost 4.4 times , to UAH 1.3 billion, and net profit - by almost eight times, to UAH 1.05 billion.
