Rozetka increases its network by 10% or 27 stores in one year

The Ukrainian online retailer Rozetka, which had lost 25 stores due to Russian military aggression at the beginning of April 2022, was able to increase their number by 10%, or 27 stores, a year after the start of the war.

"In February 2023, the company has 297 stores, in February 2022 it had 270. Most of the outlets are own," Rozetka co-founder Vladyslav Chechetkin said in an interview with Ukrainian Forbes.

According to him, the company's Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV) in the fourth quarter of last year showed the best result ever.

"As for GMV, in the fourth quarter of 2022, we showed the best result in our history. That is, Rozetka's revenue and those funds for goods on the marketplace that went through the company's accounts showed an absolute record in our history, in hryvnia," the co-founder of Rozetka said.

However, the company's profit in 2022 decreased compared to 2021, he added, specifying that it concerns not "times", but "percentages".

As of the end of October, the company reported on the work of 254 distribution points in 73 settlements of Ukraine.

Online store of electronics and home appliances Rozetka was founded in 2005 in Kyiv by Vladyslav Chechetkin and Iryna Chechetkina. In subsequent years, the company has transformed into a multi-category online marketplace. In December 2022, Rozetka traffic was 40 million people per month.
