Industrial production in Ukraine in August 2018 decreased by 0.5% compared to August 2017, while in July the growth was 2.9% compared to July 2017, in June this figure was 2.2%, in May some 2.5%, in April some 3%, the State Statistics Service has said.

The agency said that with the adjustment to the effect of calendar days, industrial production in August 2018 also fell by 0.5% from August 2017, while in July 2018 from July 2017 the growth was 2.3%, in June 2018 from June 2017 some 2.5%.

The service said compared to the previous month industrial production in August of this year also decreased by 0.5%, and taking into account the seasonal factor the reduction was 0.7%.

According to the agency, in general, in the eight months of 2018, the growth of industrial production in Ukraine compared to the same period in 2017 slowed down to 2.2%, while for the seven months this figure stood at 2.6%, being 2.5% in the six months.
