Ukraine's state debt remains almost unchanged in June

The aggregate state (direct) and state-guaranteed debt of Ukraine in June 2018 increased by 0.05%, or by $0.04 billion, to $76.29 billion, according to the website of the Ministry of Finance.

In the national currency, public debt increased by 0.25%, or by UAH 5.01 billion, to UAH 1.998 trillion.

Since the beginning of the year, the aggregate state (direct) and state-guaranteed debt in dollar terms declined by 0.02%, or by $0.01 billion, in the hryvnia by 6.71%, or UAH 143.65 billion.

The Ministry of Finance said that public debt in June rose by 0.08%, to UAH 1.732 trillion (in dollars it decreased by 0.12%, to $66.14 billion), while external debt fell by 0.09%, to UAH 982.54 billion (in dollars by 0.29%, to $37.52 billion).

The state-guaranteed debt for the past month grew by 1.37%, to UAH 265.93 billion (in dollars by 1.17%, to $10.15 billion), in particular external debt by 1.51%, to UAH 252.52 billion (in dollars by 1.3%, to $9.64 billion).

The ministry said the principal amount of the national debt is denominated in U.S. dollars - 41.99%, another 32.19% in the hryvnia, 16.76% in special drawing rights, and 7.92% in euros. In addition, less than 1% of state debt is denominated in Canadian dollars and yen.
