Price of electricity sold to wholesale market 0.5% up in mid-Feb

The average price of electricity sales by its producers to the wholesale market in the middle of February 2018 increased by 0.5% (by UAH 5.23 per MWh) compared to the first ten days of the month, to UAH 1,059/MWh, according to data from state enterprise Energomarket.

According to the report, the average price of electricity sold by thermal power plants (TPP) on February 11-20 was UAH 1,787/MWh (10.7% more from February 1-10), Energoatom some UAH 545.64/MWh (0.1% less), hydro power plants some UAH 446.93/MWh (7.2% less), combined heat and power plants some UAH 2,154 per MWh (0.2% up), on feed-in tariff (solar plants, wind farms, small hydropower stations, biomass) some UAH 4,503/MWh (2.5% up).

The share of Energoatom in the total structure of electricity supply to the wholesale market on February 11-20 was 54.59% compared to 52.12% in the first ten days, the share of TPPs stood at 26.24% (29.39%), combined heat and power plants and other stations at 9.36% (9.18%), hydro power plants at 8.66% (7.96%), and feed-in tariff at 1.15% (1.35%).

The purchase price of electricity in the wholesale market for suppliers at a regulated tariff for the specified period increased by 0.2%, from UAH 1,140 to UAH 1,142 per MWh, while for suppliers at an unregulated tariff decreased by 0.1%, from UAH 1,444 to UAH 1,443 per MWh.
