The blockade of Donbas would provoke a domino effect and the metal and mining complex would collapse, then the energy sector, railways and ports would follow, Prime Minister of the opposition government Borys Kolesnikov has said.

"The organizers of the Donbas blockade demand that authorities sign international contracts on coal supplies. Where we will take currency for this? Who of them can answer this question? What would be with forex reserves, the hryvnia exchange rate and finally with people? Assets of Ukrainian enterprises are located in Donbas and Ukrainians are working there," he said on Ukraine TV Channel.

"First the metal and mining complex would collapse, then energy, railways and then ports. No one would remember the names of the blockade organizers. Everyone would see what this blockade resulted in. Today authorities should do their best to organize the normal operation of the metal and mining, transport complexes and other spheres supporting independence of our country," Kolesnikov said.
