Poroshenko promises to help Kharkiv tractor plant win new orders

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has stated he is ready to help Kharkiv Tractor Plant seek new markets and restructure debts to the budget.

"This is the road to both ways. On our part, we help find new markets, define and restructure debts to the budget and repay it if there is a need for this. We do everything to return high-quality products to the Ukrainian market, while the investor has to face people and explain what he is doing," Poroshenko said.

He talked with the workers and they confirmed the investor, DCH President Oleksandr Yaroslavsky, has fully paid wage arrears.

"I walked along the conveyor, talked with the workers. All they said there are no wage arrears. Moreover, the advance money has been paid," Poroshenko said.

"The only thing I asked was what the wage is, but not everyone responded. But yet it is somewhat 'modest.' But we've agreed that there is the presidential order by the end of the year to double wages," the president added.
