Electrotiazhmash in 2017 to raise net profit by 2.2 times, sales by 20%

State enterprise Electrotiazhmash (Kharkiv) plans in 2017 to increase its net profit by 2.2 times compared to 2016 (when the figure exceeded UAH 5 million), sales by 20% (in 2016 the figure stood at UAH 1.5 billion), plant acting CEO Dmytro Kostiuk has said in an interview with the Dzerkalo Tuzhnia weekly.

"Over a year and a half of operation of the new management the company has collected a portfolio of orders worth UAH 2.4 billion and plans this year to increase it to UAH 3.7 billion," Kostiuk said, commenting on the statement by Head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine Ihor Bilous that orders are finishing at Electrotiazhmash, the plant must be urgently reincorporated as a joint-stock company for further privatization.

Kostiuk said that only the orders for the modernization of Kaniv hydroelectric plant and Kyiv hydroelectric plant worth UAH 660 million within the framework of the won EBRD tender are enough to load the plant "for the next five years."

He added that currently the company is upgrading equipment for Rogun HPP (Tajikistan), is working on the order for Dnistrovska HPP, signing a contract to design and supply a 200 MW turbine generator to Bangladesh.
