Heads of EBRD, Socar, Unilever, DP World, investor Soros to join National Investment Council

Head of the National Investment Council Borys Lozhkin together with head of the council office Yulia Kovaliv have presented the structure of the council to the ambassadors of the leading countries and representatives of international financial organizations, Lozhkin wrote on his Facebook page.

According to him, the National Investment Council will be composed of about 40 members: 20 representatives of international investors and 20 senior representatives from the state. All the council members will meet once a year for the development of strategic objectives.

The National Investment Council will include a small council consisting of about 20 members, who will be responsible for solving tactical tasks. According to the report, the small council is a platform for discussion of concrete actions.

The council's daily activities will be managed by its office, a non-governmental organization, which will operate on a permanent basis.

According to Lozhkin, preliminary agreement to participate in the National Investment Council was received from President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Suma Chakrabarti, Executive Director of Unilever international corporation Paul Polman, Executive Director of Socar Rovnag Abdullayev, Vitol CEO Yan Teilor, Executive Director of DP World H.E. Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, as well as U.S. financier and investor George Soros.
