IMF mission to end work in Kyiv by weekend

The mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) would finish its work in Kyiv by weekend, Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) Oleh Churiy has said.

"Today or tomorrow the IMF would prepare a report on its work in Ukraine," he said at a press conference in Kyiv on Thursday.

He said that the NBU has successfully fulfilled its tasks under the IMF-funded EFF program. He said that there are risks that other requirements of the fund were not fulfilled and the sending of the new tranche could be postponed.

As reported, the IMF mission started working in Ukraine on November 3.

NBU Governor Valeriya Gontareva said Ukraine could fail to obtain the fourth tranche from the IMF under the EFF program by the end of the year due to the parliament's inaction in implementation of reforms.
