Ukraine decreases oil transit to Europe by 4.4% in Jan-Feb

Oil transit via Ukraine to Europe decreased by 4.4% in January through February 2016, compared to January through February 2015, to 2.28 million tonnes.

According to the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry, in February 2016 oil transit through the country decreased by 10.2%, compared to the same month of 2015, to 1.112 million tonnes.

Earlier, Director General of Ukrtransnafta Mykola Havrylenko forecast that the company in 2016 will retain the volume of oil transit to Europe through the territory of the country at the level of 15 million tonnes plus or minus 1.5%, which corresponds to the 2015 figure.

Oil transit via Ukraine to Europe increased by 0.9% in 2015, in comparison with 2014, to 15.154 million tonnes.

The operator of Ukraine's oil transportation system is Ukrtransnafta, 100% of which are managed by Naftogaz Ukrainy.
