ABH Ukraine Limited (Cyprus), the sole shareholder of PJSC Alfa-Bank and from January 22, 2016 the owner of 99.9129% of the shares of Neos Bank (both based in Kyiv), intends in the near future to complete a deal on the sale of Neos Bank, the press service of Alfa-Bank has told Interfax-Ukraine.
"The deal with Provita Management for the sale of Neos Bank failed: the buyer has not received necessary permits. However, the bank is still on sale. We have a buyer and in the near future we will close the transaction," President of Alfa-Bank Oleksandr Lukanov said.
However, the National Bank of Ukraine told the agency that the regulator did not refuse the potential buyer the acquisition of Neos Bank, noting a possible return of documents for finalization.
As reported, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMC) in July 2015 permitted Provita Management, whose ultimate beneficiary is the former co-owner of Bank Forum (Kyiv), Leonid Yurushev, to concentrate more than 50% of Neos Bank.
