Wizz Air carries almost 400,000 passengers from/to Ukraine in 2015

Hungary's low-cost airline Wizz Air carried over 395,000 passengers in 2015 from and to Ukraine, which is twice less from a year ago, when its subsidiary Wizz Air Ukraine operated on the Ukrainian market.

The Hungarian carrier said in a press release that in 2015 the airline offered nine routes to six countries to passengers in Ukraine.

In 2015, the airline offered to its passengers the flights to 118 destinations in 38 countries on over 400 routes. Wizz Air's fleet consisted of 63 Airbus A320 aircraft and two A321 aircraft based at 22 bases throughout Central and Eastern Europe. Wizz Air added four new bases in 2015 – Tuzla, Debrecen, Kosice and Lublin. Wizz Air also announced a 23rd base to open in July 2016 in Iasi (Romania).

At the end of 2015, Wizz Air was operating 81 new routes begun during the year and had already announced 32 new routes for 2016.

Wizz Air carried 19 million passengers in 2015.
