NCCR refuses MMDS Ukraine extension of two licenses in 20 regions, Crimea

The National Commission for Communications Regulation (NCCR) has refused MMDS Ukraine LLC (Kyiv) the extension of two radio licenses in multi-channel distribution systems in 20 regions of Ukraine and Crimea, the regulator reported on the official website.

The commission explained the refusal with the violation of license conditions for the use, untimely start and complete use of radio frequency resources.

In December last year the company filed an application for the extension of another license, but the NCCR failed to make any decision.

Earlier the NCCR called frequencies in the range of 2.5-2.7 GHz, which MMDS Ukraine" owns, promising in terms of implementing the LTE standard there.

According to the unified state register, the beneficial owner of MMDS Ukraine is businessman Rinat Akhmetov.
