Boryspil International Airport (Kyiv), the largest airport in Ukraine, is holding talks with several airlines to substitute passenger flow to Russia, the airport's press service reported on Tuesday.

The press service said that the recent introduction of sanctions will not strongly influence the operation of the airport.

"Our citizens who fly via Russia to non-CIS countries will be reoriented to European hubs, without any inconveniences for them. Now, several airlines are working on this," the press service said, citing Boryspil airport Head Yevhen Dykhne.

Airlines operating at the airport are currently working out compensation schemes to redistribute passenger flow with the top mangers of the airports.

Flights between Ukraine and Russia stopped at 00:00 on October 25 due to reciprocal sanctions introduced against airlines of the two countries.
