Agriculture Ministry instructs Agrarian Fund to purchase rye, buckwheat by Dec 2015

PJSC Agrarian Fund must purchase buckwheat and rye by December 1, 2015 to ensure a stable price situation in the food market.
"Andriy Radchenko has been instructed to buy buckwheat and rye for the Agrarian Fund," Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food Oleksiy Pavlenko said.
In addition, the minister instructed the department of agriculture and technology policy in the agroindustrial sector and the departments of agricultural development at regional administrations to adjust the structure of sowing areas for the 2016 harvest, taking into account the acreage of winter crops.
According to the ministry, in the current weather conditions the sowing of winter crops may last for another 7-10 days.
As of October 16, agrarians had sowed winter crops on 5.6 million hectares, or 76% of the planned areas. Khmelnytsky, Donetsk, Chernihiv regions have completed the sowing campaign. The worst situation is in Kherson region, where only 41% of the forecast areas have sown with crops, and Mykolaiv region, with a figure of 48%.
