Naftogazvydobuvannia could suspend production in fall due to blocking of company's work - DTEK

PJSC Naftogazvydobuvannia could suspend production of hydrocarbons this fall due to the arrest of the company's accounts and assets, as well as prohibitions on the sale of produced gas and condensate, DTEK CEO Maksym Tymchenko has said.
"The situation in the company is critical in terms of that we need to pay royalties, it is necessary to finance activities. Now we are carrying out production, but for the last month. I think if the company's operations are not unblocked, we will have to suspend the wells, close them, because financially the company today is paralyzed," he told reporters in Kyiv.
According to him, gas produced by the company is currently pumped into underground gas storage facilities. The volume of gas produced and injected by the company is now almost 400 million cubic meters.
The DTEK head said that court rulings on arrests which block the company's activity "have nothing to do with the law."
"The shares, the products, the main assets have been arrested. Everything that is there today has been arrested. Not only on the case related to the disappearance of the former director but also on the tax case. There is a debt of UAH 120 million there, but the case has been won in court," Tymchenko said.
