Ukrzaliznytsia to hold audit of executing government decisions to reform industry

Ukrzaliznytsia to conduct an express audit of the executing of the government's decisions on reforming railway transport in the near future, and afterwards the final scheme of structural reforms in the railway industry will be developed.

The press service of Ukrzaliznytsia said, with reference to its new head Oleksandr Zavhorodniy, that conducting such an audit will be one out his ten priority steps.

"Today there is a clear understanding of how to do reforms, we have an action plan for the next three months, and during this time we should set up a company and ensure the implementation of its tasks," he said.

He said Ukrzaliznytsia currently plans to make some adjustments to the schedule of reforms, in particular in the establishment of branches of the joint-stock company.

"We try to step through one stage of reforms, namely the system of establishing the branches of the new enterprise," he said.

Zavhorodniy also said that during the reform process and the establishment of public joint-stock company Ukrainska Zaliznytsia a number of activities will be carried out, in particular, a new corporate image of railways and changes to the wages system will be introduced. In addition, a customer-oriented model of providing services in freight and passenger traffic will be drawn up.
