CNBM's Singapore-based subsidiary announces plans to acquire solar power plant from Activ Solar

CNBM International Energy PTE Ltd., a Singapore-based subsidiary of Chinese based CNBM Corporation, plans to acquire private JSC Neptun Solar, which was built up by Activ Solar in Mykolaiv region, the company said in an announcement in Ukraine's securities bulletin.
"As of today, CNBM International Energy PTE Ltd. and its affiliated entities do not own any stakes in PrJSC Neptun Solar," the announcement reads.
As reported, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine is examining the acquisition by Chinese-based CNBM International Corporation of a controlling stake in solar power plants Voskhod Solar, and Neptun Solar (both are based in Mykolaiv region), Dunayskaya No. 1 solar power station and Dunayskaya No. 2 solar power station, Franko Solar and Franko PV (all four are based in Odesa region).
The committee received applications to build up by CNBM International Energy PTE Ltd. stakes in the Ukrainian facilities on February 13 and February 18, 2015. The committee met with CNBM representatives on March 18.
All the mentioned solar power facilities were built by Activ Solar, which is allegedly connected to former secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Andriy Kliuyev, who fled Ukraine during the Euromaidan events early in 2014.
