Oschadbank total assets up 24% in 2014

The total assets of state-run Oschadbank (Kyiv) grew by 23.7% in 2014, to UAH 128.104 billion.

The bank said in its quarterly report that its loss came to UAH 8.564 billion in 2014, while in 2013 its profit amounted to UAH 678.784 million. Its loss in Q4 2014 reached UAH 9.115 billion (UAH 155.755 million of profit in Q1, UAH 184.235 million in Q2 and UAH 210.889 million in Q3), while the bank's profit in Q4 2013 stood at UAH 197.755 million.

Net interest-bearing income grew by 13.8% in 2014, to UAH 6.294 billion.

Loans and client debts grew by 34.4%, to UAH 69.272 billion.

Reserves for overdue credits reached 37.3% of the sum of credits and client debts as of early January 2015 (24.7% as of early 2014).

The bank's charter capital grew by 15.6%, to UAH 5.416 billion and net worth rose by 11.2%, to UAH 22.749 billion.

Oschadbank was founded in 1991. It is a fully state-owned bank.

Oschadbank ranked third among 166 operating banks as of October 1, 2014, in terms of total assets worth UAH 113.682 billion, according to the National Bank of Ukraine.
