Poroshenko invites Australian businesses to invest in Ukraine

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has informed Australian business representatives that Ukraine formed a pro-European government aimed at carrying out reforms and ensuring a complete transformation of the country, the presidential press service has said.

He said that corruption was the biggest challenge to Ukraine.

"These are not political slogans. This is a challenge to the country. We will not be able to survive if we bring no changes to our country," Poroshenko said.

Poroshenko and representatives of the Australian energy sector also discussed the diversification of energy supplies to Ukraine.

At the same time, the president noted the significant potential for cooperation between the two countries in agriculture and the IT sector.

"President Petro Poroshenko invited Australian businesses to invest in Ukraine," reads the statement.
