Wizz Air Ukraine returning fourth plane to parent company

1 min read

Wizz Air Ukraine, part of the Wizz Air Group, is returning its fourth Airbus-320 aircraft to the parent company due to a fall in demand for transportation by air.

Commercial Manager Vadym Tretiak told reporters on Thursday in Kyiv that the summer program of flights will be performed using three aircraft – two aircraft will be based in Kyiv and one in Lviv.

Tretiak said that if the situation on the market improves, the company would be able to return its fourth aircraft by the winter navigation of 2014-2015 and expand the flight program.

Wizz Air Ukraine CEO Akos Bus said that the main reason of the fall in demand on transportation by air was the political and social situation in the country, although the airline still plans to develop.

Wizz Air Ukraine operates a fleet of four Airbus A320 aircraft and offers flights to 12 countries from four Ukrainian cities.
