Kharkiv Airlines (part of DCH Group of Oleksandr Yaroslavsky), in cooperation with the Pegas Touristik tour operator, is to launch direct flights from Boryspil airport (Kyiv region) to Phuket (Thailand).

"Starting from November 19 and during the winter season the airline will perform non-stop flights on the Kyiv-Phuket-Kyiv route with a frequency of about once every ten days," the press service of DCH told Interfax-Ukraine.

The planned time of departure from Kyiv is 2320, with arrival in Phuket at 1420. Flights will be operated on board long-haul comfortable Boeing-767 aircraft, equipped with business and economy class salons.

"Direct flights to one of the most popular Thai resorts throughout the winter navigation period will be performed for the first time in the history of the national aviation," reads the report citing Kharkiv Airlines board chairman Mykola Nikitenko.

The Kyiv-Phuket-Kyiv flight is the third in the list of long-haul destinations of the airline, following Bangkok and Goa. The airline also plans to launch charter flights to Nha Trang (Vietnam) and Punta Cana (the Dominican Republic).
