Flydubai Airline to launch business class service in autumn
Flydubai Airline (the UAE) in October 2013 plans to perform its first flight using a plane with a business class passenger compartment, and the sale of business class tickets for some flights will be launched in August 2013, reads a press release of the airline.
The business class passenger compartment has 12 seats. Passengers will be able to use the onboard entertainment system, will have priority servicing at check-in, and will have an increased baggage allowance.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said during a video conference on Wednesday that the launch of new directions by Flydubai to Odesa and Dnipropetrovsk almost simultaneously with the launch of flights to Dubai by WizzAir would positively influence the development of the company and the growth in its competitiveness.
As reported, Flydubai Airline in September 2013 will launch flights to Odesa and Dnipropetrovsk. Afterwards the company's route network will cover five Ukrainian cities - Kyiv, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Odesa, and Dnipropetrovsk.
Dubai-Odesa flights will be launched on September 15. The air carrier will also increase the number of flights on the Dubai-Kyiv route to two a day, and on September 18 will launch Dubai-Dnipropetrovsk flights.
The flights to Odesa will be operated on Tuesdays and Fridays, with departure from the UAE at 1000, and arrival in Ukraine at 1355. On the way back, the aircraft will depart on the same days at 1455 and arrive in Dubai at 2020.
Flights to Dnipropetrovsk will be operated on Wednesdays and Saturdays, departing from Dubai at 1025 and arriving in Dnipropetrovsk at 1410. On the way back, the aircraft will depart at 1515 and arrive in the UAE at 2045.
The price of a return ticket for the Dnipropetrovsk-Dubai flight is from UAH 4,034, for Odesa-Dubai flights – from UAH 2,934, including all taxes, and a baggage allowance of 20 kg of luggage and one piece of hand luggage weighing up to 7 kg, as well as a small handbag or a laptop bag.
Flydubai airline was founded in 2008.
Its route network covers more than 60 destinations in the Middle East, Africa, the Indian subcontinent, Asia, the CIS and Central and Eastern Europe.
Its fleet consists of 28 aircraft.
