The Russian Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia) has opened up air space for the flights of Ukraine's AeroSvit Airline, an official representative of the agency has told Interfax-Ukraine.

"Due to the fact that AeroSvit fully paid the debt of $246,000 for air navigation to the Federal State Unitary Enterprise State ATM Corporation, from today air space of the airline is opened," the representative said.

On Monday, Rosaviatsia decided to terminate air navigation services for all flights of Ukrainian airline AeroSvit in the airspace of the Russian Federation. As of December 10, 2012, the airline had partially repaid the debt for the provided air navigation services on the routes but still had debts of $246,000 for services rendered by the Russian corporation.

The airline also has debts to Russian airports. On Monday, Moscow Sheremetyevo airport decided to stop servicing the airline from 0000 Moscow time on December 11, 2012.

The Russian airport said that the total debt of the Ukrainian airline to OJSC Sheremetyevo International Airport, TZK Sheremetyevo and AeroMASH-Aviation Security exceeds 165.5 million rubles.

The airline also has a debt to Kaliningrad airport.
