Russia lifts ban on supplies of dairy products of Ukraine's Dubnomoloko

Russian food-safety watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor has canceled restrictions on the supply to Russia of dairy products made by Ukraine's Dubnomoloko.

The decision to lift the ban was made on the receipt of guarantees from the Ukrainian national veterinary service, reads a report of Rosselkhoznadzor.

Rosselkhoznadzor restricted supplies of dairy products of Dubnomoloko from October 15, 2012 due to the fact that bacteria of the colon bacillus group were found in a batch of cheese made by the company.

Earlier the Russian watchdog also imposed restrictions on supplies of dairy products of eight Ukrainian producers to Russia. The restrictions applied to dairy and meat producers LLC Molis, Hlobyne dairy plant (both companies produce cheese, powdered milk and creamery butter), Bel Shostka Ukraine (cheese), Zoria Meat Plant, Zevs Ltd., (beef and pork), LLC Danone Dnipro, CJSC Lactalis Mykolaiv (dairy foods), and APK-Invest (pig slaughtering, meat processing, ready-to-eat meat products).
