Ukrainian agricultural producers can meet up to 95% of army's needs - Agrarian Ministry
It is important for the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food to actively participate in and facilitate the reform of creating a new model of food supply for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, because Ukrainian agricultural producers can meet up to 95% of the army's needs.
First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Taras Vysotsky said this at the Food Supply Forum, where a new model of food supply for the Armed Forces of Ukraine for 2025 was presented.
"It is very important that the products consumed by our defenders are of high quality and safe. The Ministry of Agrarian Policy approves the principles of checking safety and quality indicators. It is also necessary to monitor food for the army so that no one has any doubts about the safety and quality of products for the Armed Forces of Ukraine," he emphasized.
Vysotsky recalled that the Food Security Strategy, recently adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers, provides for the possibility of providing the Defense Forces with Ukrainian products, including during martial law.
He also emphasized that products for the Armed Forces of Ukraine must meet high quality standards.
