Former WBA champion Russian boxer Alexander Povetkin, born in 1979, and Ukrainian boxer from Dnipro Andriy Rudenko, born in 1983, will fight for a vacant WBO International Heavyweight title at Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium on July 1, the press service of the Vsenabox.ru company has said.

Vsenabox.ru said it had got an official letter from the WBO, which is now waiting for the completion of all necessary procedures by the promoters and organizers of the event.

"The fight has been sanctioned on the obligatory condition that both boxers should undergo anti-doping tests, and in case of positive drug test results, the sanction will be withdrawn," the press service said.

Also, the WBO notified the promoters that the boxer who has won the vacant title will have to defend it within 120 days from the date of the victory.

Povetkin and his team are now training at a sports base on Krugloe Lake outside Moscow as part of preparations for the fight.
