Zelenskyy: '20 Days in Mariupol' is documentary about Russian terrorism

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the Oscar-winning film "20 Days in Mariupol" a documentary about Russian terrorism.

"More than two years ago, Russia brutally attacked Mariupol. '20 days in Mariupol' is a film showing the truth about Russian terrorism. I thank the team that worked on this film and received such an important Oscar award, which allows us to speak loudly about the Russian war against Ukraine," he said in his Telegram channel on Monday.

"Thank you to all the journalists around the world who understand the importance of reporting the truth about our struggle and telling it. We remember and will never forget every day of this war, every day of Mariupol, its male and female defenders. We remember everyone who fought for the city. We remember and must release from Russian captivity all the defenders of Mariupol and Azovstal, who are still being kept in inhumane conditions. We remember that we must defeat Russian evil in order to restore normal life for all our people, for each of our cities," he also said.

Zelenskyy thanked "each and every person who is spreading the truth about this war, about the bravery of our people and about the pain of our people. Truth overcomes everything. And I thank everyone in the world who has supported our state, our people since the first days of this war. Together we must protect life."
